Change

I stand corrected. Thank you U.S. for proving me wrong.

And if I offended anyone, sincerely not my intent.

Anon, come back when you're brave enough to decloak and talk to me.

Far from offending anyone Debo -your fears, sadly enough, had been well founded as you said from over 200 years of history. I'm just so happy to see this day finally arrive though. Your post actually made me think about "what ifs" that I had never thought of before, never thought things like that could happen with the polls saying one thing and that it could all have gone down the tubes. But thank goodness, it didn't!

Know that song "I'm so excited!" Well, that pretty well sums up how I'm feeling right now. His speech, as well as Sen. McCain's were both excellent words too, don't you think?
Yes, we can! Only 50 years since the Arkansas Eight! I know they didn't start things per se, but they did a great kick-off towards getting our country to this great and auspicious day.

Over here from Jeni's blog. As you, I've been watching everything that came across the screen concerning the two candidates and I just have a gut feeling about this one. I know change won't come fast and it will be a long road, but at least that road is within eyesight and we as people of all races and creed will power together as a whole...I believe Barack Obama has made that happen for all of us. Isn't that the most wonderful thing in the world?

I don't see how the post below could offend!

I'm so thrilled that you stand corrected LOL

BUT - you only stand corrected about the outcome of this one election - it is a great and hopeful start but all the rest of what you felt and shared was and still is valid

listening a few 'firsts' has nothing to do with the collective experience of millions of people over hundreds of years

and on we go ...
